Russell Tether
Russell Tether has been managing private and corporate collections of fine art for over 30 years. An entrepreneur and founder of several companies, he integrates his business and art expertise, developing successful collection management strategies for individual, corporate and municipal clients. He also contributes to numerous professional catalogues and publications and is often a speaker on fine art market trends and strategies.
In 2009 he began Russell Tether Fine Arts Associates (RTFAA), building and managing collections of art for clients, which include private and public collections, museums, estates, and corporations. Recently, RTFAA has been focusing on assisting corporations, museums and municipalities make a positive impact on their cities, citizens and employees through the acquisition and installation of quality art in public places. Currently Russell is involved in numerous projects including the development and production of a public television documentary on African American Artists from Texas Southern University.

● Karl Umlauf: Natural Evolution – 2008. Full color 76-page catalog examining the art of Karl Umlauf over his 50-year career. This catalog accompanied the Umlauf exhibition to 5 national museums over two years.
● Timeless: A Retrospective of Selected Women Artists of Texas, 1940 to Present – 2007. 30-page catalog presenting the work of 15 women artists living and painting in Texas in the mid-20th Century.
● El Paso: A Century of Art-2007. Featuring 41 artists that lived and painted in El Paso in the 20th Century. The success of this catalog eventually led the El Paso Museum of Art to produce a hardcover, 134-page book on the same artists.

● Seymour Fogel: American Modernist – 2010.Full Color, 8-page exhibition catalog produced for the Austin Modern show and sale, The Dallas Art Fair and Seymour Fogel exhibition.
● Ben Culwell – 2011. Full Color, 8-page exhibition catalog produced for the estate of Ben Culwell, The Dallas Art Fair and private sales of the artist’s paintings.
● Michael Frary – 2010. Full Color, 28-page catalog highlighting the artist’s life, accomplishments and artistic progression. This catalog led to the artist being given a solo retrospective exhibition at the Grace Museum in 2010.
● Robert Preusser: Selected Works - 2011. Full Color, 8-page exhibition catalog produced for The Dallas Art Fair and private sales.
● Nancy Brown: Pulse - 2011. Full Color, 8-page exhibition catalog. This catalog introduced Nancy at her first national art show, The Dallas Art Fair. Although unknown in collecting circles prior to this time; we sold 5 of Nancy’s works at the Art Fair and at prices 3 times higher than she had previously been selling for.
