Pamela McNamara

Collection

Pamela McNamara was a collector in the truest sense — not someone who acquired art as an asset, but someone who lived with it, believed in it, and built something rare over years of genuine attention. Together with her husband, she assembled one of the foremost private collections of contemporary Fort Worth artists: works by painters whose names are well known to serious collectors in Texas, gathered at the height of their practice and cared for with the kind of devotion that shows.

In 2016, Pamela and her husband relocated to Canada, and the collection went with them. For nearly a decade, these paintings — some of the finest works by these artists, several with significant exhibition histories — have been abroad, out of circulation, unseen by the Texas collectors who would most appreciate them.

Pamela passed away, and her estate was bequeathed to her children. It is with great honor, and with deep respect for what she built, that Russell Tether Fine Art now presents the Pamela McNamara Collection for sale — returning to Texas, and available for the first time in years.
